Britons have been urged to take their time to get a number of car insurance quotes before signing on the dotted line with a particular provider.
An article appearing on MyFinances explained that as the price of car insurance from different companies can vary significantly, shopping around for a good deal may mean that you get a competitively-priced quote.
Added to this, you may also get an insurance product that provides the exact protection you need.
"While you are legally required to hold some form of car insurance, the amount of coverage you can take out can vary," the article observed.
"And depending on what vehicle you have," it added, "you may find that the car insurance product you need is slightly different to that for normal automobiles."
Meanwhile, Admiral revealed last week more than one in ten motorists has a speeding conviction on their driving licence.
Motorists living in parts of Hertfordshire, Dorset and Surrey are the most likely to have points for speeding, the provider claimed.
