Poll shows best car insurance providers

A poll of car insurance customers has revealed the insurance companies that are providing the best service and which ones are most likely to be recommended.

Conducted by This is Money, and taking into account the opinions of 5,000 readers, the poll looked at various aspects of insurance and personal finance .

The most trusted car insurance provider was Tesco, with 68 per cent of customers saying they would recommend it wile 67 per cent said they would continue to use it.

Swiftcover and Admiral were close behind, with 67 per cent recommending it and 64 per cent intending to continue as customers.

In terms of customer service, Saga was the winner with 77 per cent of customers rating it as good or very good and 56 per cent saying queries were resolved quickly.

Moneysupermarket.com recently recommended that drivers shop around for better car insurance deals after research showed that 22 per cent of motorists would renew their deal without checking for other offers.
