American Express has announced a new partnership with Fortis to bring more car insurance deals to its customers.
Cardholders with the firm will be offered "maximised quote coverage" on car insurance, as well as home insurance, while the insurance company itself will now accept American Express payments.
Furthermore, premium, Defaqto 5 Star Rated car insurance products will become available later this year.
Andy Watson, managing director for retail at Fortis UK, explained how the new partnership would bring benefits to customers.
"This new partnership complements our multi-channel distribution strategy at a very exciting time for Fortis after securing a number of significant new affinity deals during 2009," he said.
"The strength of the American Express brand reinforces our capability in the motor and household insurance markets. I look forward to working with American Express to further enhance our propositions for their customers."
Meanwhile, car insurance customers were recently advised to research the meaning of road signs and find out about speed limits before embarking on overseas motoring holidays .
