AXA has entered the car insurance market with a deal for experienced drivers offering attractive no claims discount .
The company is offering up to 90 per cent no claims discount, claiming that the average among competitors is 65 per cent, while a courtesy car will always be available to drivers after a claim, even if their own is not being repaired.
Tina Shortle, marketing director for AXA Insurance, believes good drivers should be rewarded, especially at a time when premiums are increasing.
She said: "Experienced drivers make up well over a third of the driving population. We want to show them that their experience counts with a great product and price.
"We believe that AXA Car Insurance can soon become a leading player in the market."
At an added cost, AXA is also offering 'Driver Injury Cover', which would pay for up to £1 million in medical costs and loss of earnings where the accident was the policyholder's fault.
Many insurance companies have recently had to raise their premiums, partly as a result of the increasing cost of covering personal injury claims, according to Zurich .
