Leading global insurer RSA has launched a new online-only car insurance product, which gives customers the flexibility and control to tailor a policy to suit their exact needs.
Through 'RSA echoice', consumers can build on a basic level of cover by picking any combination of a range of ten additional cover options, some of which include breakdown, in-car entertainment, emergency care and legal assistance .
The provider said that most extras can be added by the customer at any point during the life of the policy.
Keith Maxwell, head of car insurance at RSA, commented: "RSA echoice is all about empowering the customer to take complete control of their insurance .
"RSA echoice not only enables them to do this but also helps ensure that customers will only ever pay for the cover they want and need."
Meanwhile, Swiftcover.com revealed recently that, since its launch in June 2005, it has insured more than 1.8 million vehicles and more than 1.4 million drivers.
