Car insurance firm introduces new policy

Autosure, a European car insurance company, has launched a new product for vehicle owners, Money Avenue reports.

The insurer's new pan-European breakdown policy is considered one of the most affordable roadside repair, home start and accident management services.

The rates, which can be as low as £58 a year, applies to cars, vans, 4x4 sport cars and motorbikes that are not older than 15 years.

Critically, however, the rate does not go up when you leave the UK for other European countries.

Other benefits of the insurance policy include coverage of car hire/transport costs, coverage of accommodation costs and free accident management service.

Meanwhile, confused.com claimed recently that as many as 38 per cent of car insurance customers have admitted to lying in order to get a lower premium.

The website also found that men are more likely to be dishonest than their female counterparts, with nearly half admitting to fibbing to get cheaper cover.
