Norwich Union offers car insurance comparison service

Norwich Union has launched a website which will allow people to compare its car insurance policies with those of its competitors.

According to the firm, anyone looking for a car insurance quote through the facility will also be able to examine details of more than 140 other providers.

David Tyers, director of marketing at the company, believes the service will help people track down the best deal.

He said: "The truth is no insurer is cheapest all of the time. The difference is we will tell customers when we are and when we are not."

Mr Tyers hopes the firm will prove competitive when compared to other providers and people will then choose to take their car insurance through Norwich Union .

Yesterday, Moneysupermarket.com claimed that it is the top car insurance comparison website, stating it offers people the chance to view deals from 89 providers.

The firm also says it offers customers a range of exclusive deals.
