Moneysupermarket top car insurance comparison site, figures show

Moneysupermarket.com offers consumers the widest choice of car insurance companies, it has been claimed.

According to the price comparison website, it offers deals from 89 car insurance providers, which is more than any other such service.

Andy Leadbetter, head of motor insurance at the company, stated the firm is constantly looking to update its service and improve the website.

He said: "We work to provide the widest range of car insurers for our customers enabling them to make an informed decision on what policy is right for them."

Moneysupermarket.com also offers a range of exclusive car insurance deals that people will be unable to find else where, he added.

Yesterday, research by the price comparison website claimed that green motor insurance is more expensive than traditional cover .

It suggested motorists who are concerned about the environment take out a standard car insurance policy and donate some money to an eco-charity as an alternative.
