Car insurance cashback offer

Two car insurance firms have teamed up with a price comparison website to offer new customers £40 cashback.

Anyone who takes out a policy with either Swinton or Bullseye through Comparethemarket.com between November 6th and February 6th 2009 will be eligible for the cash .

Jeremy Moll, insurance expert at the website, said: "With this offer running for 3 months, consumers have plenty of time to make the most out of this money saving deal."

Comparethemarket.com will also help people find the right car insurance policy for their needs, he added.

Yesterday, women's car insurance specialist Diamond warned female drivers not to leave their handbags in their vehicles .

According to the firm, thieves made off with £178 million worth of the accessories and their contents in the last year alone.

The car insurance company urged people not to leave anything on display in their vehicle as this is likely to lead to a break-in.
