Anne Robinson will have to dig deep for her car insurance after her recent driving ban, it has been claimed.
Research by Confused.com states that someone who has acquired 13 points on their license, as Ms Robinson has, face paying more for their car insurance than those without any endorsements.
Simon Lamble, product director at Confused.com, said: "It is extremely lucky for Anne that she is a multi-millionaire, as Confused.com has worked out that the average car insurance that Anne will now be able to purchase will be 75 per cent - or £539.95 - more expensive than when she did not have any convictions at all."
Points expire after three years, but car insurance firms often ask about convictions in the last five, meaning premiums stay higher for longer, he added.
Yesterday, Churchill Car Insurance revealed that East Anglia and the south of England are the worst areas for windscreen damage.
