Car insurance firm launches discount scheme

One car insurance firm is launching a new initiative which it claims is aimed at helping motorists who are feeling the squeeze of rising prices.

More Than has announced that new customers taking out a car insurance policy with the firm will receive a ten per cent discount.

Furthermore, those who do not make an at fault claim before they renew their car insurance will be eligible for a further 20 per cent off.

This car insurance discount will continue as long as the customer does not make an at-fault claim.

Dowshan Humzah, product director at the car insurance firm, said: "We wanted to offer motorists a great deal from the start and, of course, reward customer loyalty.

"We hope this great offer will ease the strain on the pockets of those looking to buy motor insurance in the current economic climate."

Last week, research by Tescocompare.com found that only 32 per cent of car insurance customers have changed their provider in the last year.
