Car insurance warning from eSure

Fri, 04 Jan 2008

Car insurance company eSure have released a warning for those drivers that are planning to leave the European Union on the road. eSure warn drivers that they must extend their insurance cover to make sure that they are actually insured .

The head of corporate communications at eSure motor insurance, Adrian Webb, reportedly said that motorists would lose all of their cover once they drove outside the EU, unless they had warned and agreed cover with their insurance provider .

Those people that drive outside of the EU could be driving illegally. Webb reportedly commented: "The silliest thing you could ever do when taking your car abroad is to not speak with your insurer ."

The eSure warning came at the same time as a British Insurance Brokers Association warning that motorists should have their cars serviced before they go abroad.
