According to a recent car insurance news report, the AA is giving out advice to British people going on holiday in their car .
With thousands of Brits expected to take out car finance for a new vehicle to get an 08 number plate, the AA expects many to take to the road and head out into Europe. When driving in Europe, the AA says, all drivers should be aware how far they are insured .
Ian Crowder, the public relation manager at the AA, reportedly commented: "Just check your policy document and see if you're covered in the UK. The policy document may say: 'Yes, you can go out of the UK but tell us before you go' [and] some say: 'Yes, you can go, but it will cost you something', so there is no hard and fast rule as far as insurance on the continent is concerned."
Millions of Brits drive around Europe every year.
