Family car insurance product launched

A new car insurance product which allows families to ensure all their vehicles under one policy has been launched.

The Family Fleet product from Adrian Flux Insurance Services allows families to ensure all cars to be driven by all members.

Julie Carter, spokesperson for Flux Private Clients, said: "From the family's point of view it makes life very simple, with one premium and one point of contact for all the vehicles."

The car insurance policy will cover any kind of vehicle from supercars to modified motors, she added.

People will also be able to insure motorbikes under the Family Fleet scheme, Ms Carter stated.

Yesterday, Direct Line warned that if people drive a vehicle which is not roadworthy they will not be covered under by their car insurance.

The firm warned that car insurance firms have inspectors who can check what state a vehicle was in prior to an accident .
