Motorists in Buckinghamshire could see rises in their car insurance premiums as a result of a crackdown on speeding in the area.
Police officers, in coordination with experts at the Thames Valley Safer Roads partnership, have been patrolling in a bid to snare those who see fit to flout the rules of the road.
And when capturing such lawbreakers, they have issued licence points and fines - something that is likely to cause the double whammy of higher car insurance premiums for the speeders.
PC Andrew Ralph, who was there as the operation took place, commented: "Overall the joint operation was successful and I believe we got the message across to drivers, that speeding and motoring offences will not be tolerated."
Car insurance providers often impose higher premiums on customers who have been convicted for speeding as they view such behaviour as likely to cause an accident on the road.
Car insurance provider esure recently claimed that young drivers need more education if they are to act in a safe and sensible manner when behind the wheel.
