Car insurance customers given cost-cutting tips

Fri, 29 Jun 2007

Britons have been furnished with number of tips regarding ways in which they will be able to avoid paying over the odds for their car insurance.

Gocompare.com issued the advice in light of recent news revealing that car insurance premiums are continuing to rise, while policies become ever more personalised.

According to the company, car insurance premiums can be cut if drivers ensure that their licence is free from penalty points caused by incidents such as speeding, while Pass Plus schemes can also help to cut car insurance costs.

Additionally, motorists are advised that making modifications to their vehicle can result in higher car insurance costs.

Hayley Parsons, Managing Director at Gocompare.com, commented: "Policyholders everywhere will be feeling the pinch and whilst prices can vary significantly between insurance providers, finding the cheapest policy doesn't always mean that this is the best policy for you."

She added that Britons should shop around to ensure that they find the best car insurance deal.

Many UK residents may have been forced to claim on their car insurance in the recent flooding incidents.
