Volkswagen partnership could drive demand for car insurance quotes

Motorists looking for a cheap car insurance quote for 2007 have been alerted to the signing of a new agreement between Zurich and Volkswagen Insurance Service (Great Britain).

The deal will see complimentary car insurance cover offered to all drivers who buy cars from Seat, Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commerical Vehicles.

More specifically, the motorists will be given car insurance protection for no extra cost over an initial period of seven days, while they will also be offered an annual car insurance quote to encourage them to stay loyal to the brand.

Commenting on the linkup, Adrian Saunders, acting managing director for partnerships at Zurich, expressed his belief that the initiative would drive demand for car insurance quotes.

"This exciting new deal provides a great opportunity to develop a long-term relationship with the Volkswagen group and its brands as their motor insurance partner," he said.

Mr Saunders added that the partnership was a "significant win for Zurich".

Models that could be covered by the new car insurance deal include the Seat Toledo, the Seat Ibiza, the Volkswagen Golf and the Audi Q7.
