Companies that are looking for an insurance package to cover their vehicle fleets have had their attention drawn to the launch of a new insurance service from the Post Office.
In a package that is available to all UK businesses, the financial services provider will search a host of van insurance deals from across the marketplace in order to help its customers secure the most competitively-priced deal.
Moreover, the organisation's van insurance provision will also include several specialist features to try and entice fleet managers to the brand.
For instance, for a limited period, all financial services customers who arrange one of its van insurance deals will receive £50 cashback, as well as details for a claims helpline that is manned 24 hours a day.
Claire Oldstein, head of communications at Post Office Financial Services, also explained the principle behind another unique feature.
"By including free physio treatment for injured drivers and accident assistance, our new van insurance can help get small business back on the road quickly if the worst happens," she said.
In related news, the government recently confirmed that from February 27th 2007, all car and van drivers found to be using a handheld mobile while behind the wheel risk receiving three penalty points on their licence for the first time.
The move could potentially have an impact on van insurance rates since van insurance companies typically take into account a motorist's road safety record before calculating premiums.
