A car insurance company has revealed that the month young drivers are most likely to pass their test is August.
Insurance company Admiral conducted a survey and found that although most drivers passed in August these drivers were also more likely to have an accident than other drivers. Those motorists who passed in December, although they were fewer in number, were the least likely to crash of any motorists .
The research revealed a surprising pattern, according to Admiral. Sue Longthorn, the managing director of the car insurance firm, reportedly commented: "We were surprised. On balance, I'd say the best month to sit your test is January, which has a reasonably high pass rate combined with a fairly low accident rate."
