More Than claims that its recently launched car insurance policy could help to make the roads a safer place.
The company states that young people using its DriveTime policy could be safer and save on their car insurance premiums.
Launched in August, the car insurance policy aims to provide cheaper rates for motorists between the ages of 18 and 25 who do not use their vehicle at night, by using a GPS device.
Statistics cited by the company reveal that 40 per cent of accidents involving young drivers take place between 23:00 and 06:00 GMT.
Mike Holliday-Williams, managing director of More Than, said: "DriveTime provides a fantastic way for young, safe drivers to avoid being on the roads at the most dangerous times and can also save them a significant amount off their insurance costs."
Mr Williams added that the focus of road safety week, which is taking place between November 6th and 12th 2006, is helping young drivers to stay safe on the roads.
Recent research from Moneysupermarket.com revealed that less than ten per cent of UK motorists would be willing to have a GPS device installed for 30 per cent reductions in their car insurance premiums.
