Direct Line offers no-claims matching service for car insurance

Direct Line is offering customers a new no-claims bonus matching service for car insurance customers.

The car insurance policy allows users to match their no-claims discount on subsequent cars insured by the company.

Direct Line states that it is now the only mainstream car insurance provider in the UK to offer the service without any restrictions such as age or car group.

Emma Holyer, motor spokesperson for Direct Line, said: "Many motorists now own two cars and it doesn't seem fair that although they have proved they are a safe driver they are unable to claim no-claims discounts on more than one car.

"Direct Line believes that if you have evidence that shows you are a safe driver you should be able to benefit from a discount on all your insurance, not just one policy."

The company's car insurance policy also offers a ten per cent multi car discount on the overall cost.

Direct Line customers could also benefit from its online application system for car insurance quotes and online process for claims.
