NatWest is set to offer free breakdown cover to all new car insurance policies purchased before September 3rd 2006.
The offer, which provides breakdown cover for 12 months free, will be provided by roadside recovery and rescue organisation Green Flag Motoring Assistance.
A level one motoring assistance policy will be available for car insurance customers, which includes roadside assistance, local vehicle recovery and no callout charges.
Furthermore, car insurance customers who wish to upgrade to level four or five cover, which include free home rescue and long distance vehicle recovery, will receive a 25 per cent discount.
Bob Trinder, head of NatWest insurance services , said: "This excellent offer gives new NatWest car insurance customers the comfort of free motoring assistance if they break down - in addition to knowing their vehicle is insured if they have an accident."
Green Flag Motoring Assistance was established in 1971, providing access to 6,000 mechanics in the UK, in addition to 15,000 European mechanics.
In addition to car insurance, NatWest offers customers services such as credit cards , mortgages , personal loans and savings accounts .
