Car Insurance Costs Rising

Mon, 18 Jul 2005

The cost of insuring a car in the UK is costing more whereas the cost of insuring a house is falling. This is according to the AA and the latest British Insurance Premium Index.

Premiums for car insurance dropped in the last few years, but they have started to rise again over the past three months. The average amount quoted for comprehensive car insurance is now £757.

According to the AA, there will be a continued rise in the cost of car insurance. This will be on the back of higher claims rates.

For those looking for building and contents insurance cover, increased competition forced prices down by 1.89% for building and 1% for contents insurance.
