AA Insurance on Target with payments

Thu, 14 Jul 2005

Holders of AA insurance policies would soon have a choice of paying their home insurance and car insurance policies in monthly or quarterly instalments.

The insurance provider has signed a five-year deal with Target, a provider of software solutions, to bring this idea to life.

Target offers a credit processing solution called TargetCentrac, and AA Insurance would now reply on this out outsourced system to host and manage the insurance payment system.

Alan Joshua, project manager at AA Information Systems said Target was chosen because its solutions offer flexibility.

"As well as meeting the regulatory requirements, the TargetCentrac system can be easily integrated with our current applications, allowing us to constantly improve the service that we offer to our customers," Mr Joshua commented.

A spokesperson for Target said the company was thrilled to have been selected by AA Insurance to help develop this project by providing "a flexible solution that can support the organisation and its growing portfolio of financial services products".

People who arrange their AA cheap travel insurance online get an additional ten per cent discount. AA members receive a separate five per cent off annual travel insurance policies whether arranged by telephone or online.
