Don't forget car insurance, Privilege warns

Thu, 08 Dec 2005

Privilege Insurance is warning car insurance policyholders to look out for their car insurance renewal quote between Christmas cards arriving in the mail.

The car insurance provider posts renewal notices to car insurance policyholders three weeks before their policies expire.

It offers a new car insurance quote and gives car insurance policyholders the opportunity to decide if they want any changes made to the insurance cover they receive.

But car insurance policyholders should respond to this notice before their insurance policy expires, the insurance company warns.

"Christmas can be a busy time and, amidst all the excitement, it is easy to overlook chores such as renewing your car insurance," warns Ian Parker, managing director at the insurance company.

"But forgetting to do so can have serious and expensive consequences," he says.

Mr Parker advises car insurance policyholders to phone their insurance provider, and a few other insurance providers to compare quotes, to ensure they have adequate insurance cover.

Privilege Insurance offers "highly competitive" car insurance for safe drivers. The insurance company guarantees to beat renewal car insurance quotes for any motorist who has four years or more without claiming from their car insurance provider.
